***IMPORTANT NOTE***
Whenever possible, we recommend starting with a cab-and-chassis vehicle. These trucks are designed from the factory to carry commercial bodies and heavier, more constant loads, with suspension and chassis components better suited to this type of application. They also typically include wiring provisions, upfitter connections, and sensor configurations intended for body installation, which can make integration cleaner and reduce the likelihood of electrical or sensor issues after the body is installed. For customers ordering a new vehicle specifically for one of our truck bodies, a cab-and-chassis is the best starting point.
Choosing the Right Truck
Cab-and-chassis is recommended. All factory wiring must remain intact. The truck needs adequate payload/suspension for the completed build. Suspension upgrades may be required depending on the configuration. We generally recommend ¾-ton or greater for a fully equipped farrier body.
