Frank Holman’s Standard F3

Frank Holman’s Standard F3 was designed to create a fully equipped, highly organized farrier workspace in our standard 84″ wide x 13′ long configuration, including the nose cone. Riding on standard 3,500 lb axles, the build gives him generous storage and equipment capacity while keeping the layout practical for everyday use.

The goal was to keep the tools and equipment he reaches for most easy to access while reducing unnecessary lifting, climbing, and wasted movement throughout the day.

The walk-in sliding floor provides easy access to the workspace, while the forge swing-out and adjustable-height anvil swing-out bring major equipment into comfortable working positions without repeatedly lifting or carrying them.

Inside, 18 storage drawers, 66 shoe pegs, and a 2 x 5 pad rack keep tools, shoes, and pads organized and easy to find. A double drill press drawer creates a dedicated equipment station for the drill press and band saw, while the grinder and refrigerator are positioned for convenient access. The large nose cone adds valuable storage without taking away from the main work area.

Every part of the layout is designed to help Frank stay organized, protect his equipment, reduce wasted movement, and spend more of his day getting the job done.
