Doug Hogue, Short Bed Aluminum Farrier Truck Body

This custom short-bed aluminum farrier truck body was built for a 2025 Ram 2500 and packs a highly functional workspace into a compact footprint. It features split doors, a double-jointed forge swing-out, adjustable-height anvil swing-out, bar stock storage, 12V door lighting, and a steel welding plate for a durable work surface. The installation also retains the truck’s fully functioning factory backup camera. For this type of build, the truck’s suspension must be appropriate for the finished weight of the body, tools, and equipment, and additional suspension reinforcement may be necessary depending on the final configuration. Whenever possible, we strongly recommend sending us a cab-and-chassis truck. At minimum, we prefer the truck to arrive with the factory bed already removed. Most importantly, ALL factory wiring must remain completely intact. Cutting, removing, or altering factory wiring can create significant installation complications and may affect factory systems we need to retain and integrate into the finished build.
