This custom long-box truck body was built for Josh Burnham’s 2025 Ram 2500 Tradesman and has become one of our most popular builds of 2025. Designed around the way Josh works, the body was extended an additional foot to provide the space needed for our adjustable-height anvil swing-out while keeping the rest of his farrier equipment organized, accessible, and ready to work. One of the unique features of this build was integrating the factory power outlet from the original truck bed directly into the new body. This allowed Josh to retain the power option that came with his Ram and gives him an additional source of power in the field, even though this build does not have a dedicated generator or inverter system. The body also features built-in trash cans with trash chutes incorporated directly into the deck, making it easy to dispose of old nails, and other debris without taking up valuable workspace. We were also able to incorporate several pieces of Josh’s existing equipment into the new layout, fabricating new components around them rather than requiring him to replace equipment that was already working well for him. The result is a truck body that combines factory features, existing equipment, and newly fabricated storage and work systems into one purpose-built farrier rig.
